The Kingmakers. The Puppet Masters.

In Ruin Roleplay II Asia, true power isn’t always held by the man with the gun. It is held by the man who signs the checks.

Political Parties are wealthy, influential civilian organizations. They are distinct from the Government (who are currently in office) and the Criminals (who break the law). Political Parties are the Engine of Change. They run for Mayor, they draft the laws, and they control the public narrative.

However, politics is a dirty game. While they maintain a pristine public image, every Political Party relies on Shadow Alliances. They need the Government to pass their agenda, and they need Criminal Organizations to do their dirty work.

👔 The “Clean Hands” Doctrine

The defining feature of a Political Party is that they are untouchable.

  • No Direct Crime: A registered Politician or Party Official generally does not rob banks, sell drugs, or shoot people. That is beneath them.
  • The Power of the Phone: If a Politician wants a rival silenced, they don’t buy a gun; they make a phone call.
  • Immunity: Because they commit no visible crimes, the LSPD cannot arrest them easily. They hide behind lawyers, immunity deals, and public support.

🏛️ Operational Structure

  1. The Candidate (The Face): The person running for Mayor/Governor. They must be charismatic, clean, and wealthy.
  2. The Campaign Manager (The Brain): The strategist. They negotiate the alliances with Gangs and the Government.
  3. The Donors (The Wallet): Wealthy business owners who fund the party in exchange for future favors (Tax cuts, Monopolies).

🤝 The Alliance System (The Triangle of Power)

A Political Party cannot survive alone. They must balance two worlds:

1. The Criminal Alliance (The Muscle)

  • Since Politicians cannot use violence, they must hire Families (City) or Gangs (Badlands).
  • The Deal:
    • The Party provides Legal Cover (Pardons, Reduced Sentences, Lawyer access) and Legislation (Defunding the Police unit investigating the gang).
    • The Gang provides Protection (Bodyguards), Intimidation (Disrupting rival rallies), and Black Money Donations (Funding the campaign).
  • Note: This connection must remain secret. If the LSPD finds out a Politician is working with a Cartel, it is Treason.

2. The Government Alliance (The Law)

  • Parties often lobby the current Government.
  • The Deal: They trade votes and public endorsements in exchange for Government Contracts (Construction, Trash Collection) to make legitimate money.

📜 Political Party Rulebook & Protocols

1. The “Zero Tolerance” Crime Rule

  • Direct Involvement: A Registered Politician found participating in a “Blue Collar Crime” (Robbery, Selling Drugs, Shooting) will be Immediately Disqualified from the election and removed from the Party.
  • Self-Defense: Politicians may carry a Legal Pistol for self-defense, but using it offensively is strictly prohibited.
  • Roleplay Guide: You are a white-collar criminal. Your weapon is a pen, not an AK-47.

2. The Shadow Contract

  • Ordering a Hit: A Politician is allowed to order a hit on a rival or a snitch.
  • The Proxy: They MUST use a Criminal Organization (Family/Gang) to do it. They cannot do it themselves.
  • Payment: Payment must be untraceable (Crypto or Cash Hand-off). Bank transfers for hits are easy evidence for the DOJ.

3. Corruption & Embezzlement

  • Campaign Funds: Parties collect donations from players.
  • The Rule: You are allowed to “Embezzle” (steal) campaign funds for personal use, but if the Department of Justice (DOJ) investigates and finds out, you will go to Federal Prison. Corruption is High-Risk, High-Reward.

4. Campaign Warfare

  • Slander: You are allowed to lie about your opponents in the press.
  • Sabotage: You are allowed to hire a Family to sabotage your opponent’s car or disrupt their rally (but in case Admins are involved in that rally, it is not allowed).
  • Sanctuary: You cannot kill a Politician inside City Hall, Court or Weazel News. These are Neutral Zones.

5. Election Promises (The Binding Rule)

  • If a Party makes a specific promise to a Gang (e.g., “If I win, I will make weed legal”), and they win but refuse to do it:
  • Consequence: The Gang has the “RP Right” to assassinate the Mayor for betraying the contract (CK – Character Kill potential).
