ADVANCED PROTOCOLS
These rules govern the mechanics of roleplay. Violation of these terms affects the “integrity” of the city and will lead to warnings, kicks, or bans.
SECTION 4: CORE ROLEPLAY TERMS
4.1 | RDM (Random Death Match) Attacking or killing another player without a valid roleplay reason or prior story initiation is forbidden. “He looked at me wrong” is not a valid reason to shoot.
- Requirement: You must initiate verbally before attacking (e.g., “Hands up or I shoot!”).
4.2 | VDM (Vehicle Death Match) Using your vehicle as a weapon to run over players or ram other vehicles intentionally is strictly banned. Unintentional accidents must be roleplayed properly.
4.3 | Metagaming (MG) Using Out-of-Character (OOC) information in-game is banned.
- Example: Watching a streamer to find their location (Stream Sniping).
- Example: Identifying someone solely by their ID number above their head.
- Example: Using Discord voice calls (private calls) to communicate while in the city. You must use In-Game Radio/Phone.
4.4 | Powergaming (PG) Forcing roleplay on others without giving them a chance to counter, or doing unrealistic actions.
- Example:
/me lifts the car with one hand.(Impossible) - Example: Talking while you are dead or unconscious.
- Example: Driving a sports car up a steep mountain (Non-RP Driving).
4.5 | New Life Rule (NLR) If you are “downed” and respawn at the hospital (taking the pill/timer ends):
- You forget the events leading to your death.
- You cannot return to the location of your death for 15 minutes.
- You cannot seek revenge on the person who killed you.
SECTION 5: CRIMINAL & GANG GUIDELINES
5.1 | Gang Cap Limit
- Maximum members involved in a hostile situation (shootout/robbery): 4 to 6 (Adjust as per your server config).
- Gangs cannot team up (Alliance) to exceed this limit in a single fight.
5.2 | Kidnapping & Robbing
- You cannot rob or kidnap Police/EMS unless there is a high-level RP reason (e.g., Jailbreak).
- You cannot rob “starter” players (players with default clothing and no job).
- Loot Boxing: Killing someone purely to steal their loot without a story is prohibited.
5.3 | Green Zones (Safe Zones) No crime, violence, or killing is allowed in these areas. You cannot run into a Green Zone to escape a fight.
- Locations: Government Buildings (Police Station, Hospital), Job Centers, Spawn Points, and Car Dealerships.
5.4 | Cop Baiting Intentionally provoking the police to get a reaction or start a chase (e.g., doing burnouts in front of the station) is forbidden.
SECTION 6: MEDICAL & POLICE INTEGRITY
6.1 | Respecting EMS EMS (Medical staff) are neutral. You strictly cannot kill or rob an on-duty medic unless they are actively endangering your life.
6.2 | Corruption Police and EMS cannot be corrupt (sell weapons, help criminals) unless they have a specific “Corrupt Bio” approved by the Admin team.
6.3 | Combat Storing Storing your vehicle in a garage or putting items in a trunk/house while in an active chase or gunfight to save them is considered an exploit.
SECTION 7: MAP DYNAMICS (THE BORDER SYSTEM)
7.1 | The Geographic Division The server is divided into two distinct zones separated by the Checkpoint/Border:
- In-City (Urban Zone): The safe, civilized area. Strict laws apply here.
- Out-City (The Badlands): The dangerous zone. High crime activity and illegal gang territories.
7.2 | Border Control
- Crossing the border requires valid identification.
- The Military Police (MP) and LSPD have the right to search any vehicle crossing the border for illegal contraband.
- Running the border gate (smashing through) is a Hostile Act and authorizes forces to open fire (Code Red).
SECTION 8: LAW ENFORCEMENT & JURISDICTIONS
8.1 | Los Santos Police Department (LSPD)
- Jurisdiction: Strictly In-City. LSPD cannot patrol Out-City without explicit authorization from High Command or MP.
- Conduct: LSPD officers must uphold the law with professionalism. De-escalation is the priority.
- Lethal Force: LSPD cannot declare Code Red (Open Fire) unless:
- There is an active bank robbery/heist with armed hostiles.
- Officers or civilians are under direct fire.
- A suspect is threatening immediate life.
- Note: Firing due to a simple traffic stop is Powergaming/FailRP.
8.2 | Military Police (MP)
- Jurisdiction: Strictly Out-City. The MP controls the highways, sandy shores, and mountainous regions.
- Conduct: MP officers are soldiers, not traffic cops. They deal with high-threat gangs, drug cartels, and terrorism.
- Engagement Rules (Out-City):
- Due to the dangerous nature of Out-City, MP has a looser engagement policy.
- However, RDM is still banned. MP cannot shoot civilians without reason.
- If a civilian enters a Restricted Military Zone, MP must give one warning before lethal force is authorized.
- City Entry: MP cannot enter the main city unless requested by LSPD High Command for backup (e.g., State Bank Robbery or City-wide Riots).
8.3 | Corruption in LEA Corruption (taking bribes, selling police guns) is strictly prohibited for both LSPD and MP unless you have an Admin-Approved Corrupt Bio. Breaking this results in an immediate ban and blacklist from the job.
SECTION 9: LEGAL DEPARTMENTS
9.1 | Weazel News (Media)
- Neutrality: Weazel News is a neutral entity. They report the truth. They do not work for the Police or the Gangs.
- Press Pass: Reporters with a visible Press Pass/Vest should not be targeted during shootouts unless they interfere.
- Fake News: Spreading massive lies to cause panic in the server (e.g., “A nuke is coming”) is forbidden.
- Crime Scenes: Reporters must respect police perimeters. Crossing yellow tape risks arrest.
9.2 | Department of Justice (DOJ)
- Court RP: When a court session is active, strict decorum is required. No trolling, shouting, or dancing in the courtroom.
- Lawyers: Lawyers must defend their clients using In-Character laws (Penal Code), not OOC server rules.
- Judges: The Judge’s verdict is final in RP. Disagreeing with a Judge OOC is not allowed; file an appeal IC.
9.3 | Emergency Medical Services (EMS)
- The “Do No Harm” Rule: EMS cannot carry offensive weapons or engage in combat.
- Out-City Calls: EMS can refuse to go to Out-City calls if the area is not secured by MP. They are not required to die for a revive.
- Hospital Sanctuary: The Hospital (Pillbox/Sandy) is a strict Green Zone. No kidnapping or killing patients inside.
SECTION 10: COMBAT & “CODE RED” PROTOCOLS
10.1 | In-City Code Red (Strict) In the city, Code Red (Authorization to Shoot to Kill) is restricted.
- Illegal: Shooting someone for a minor traffic accident or verbal argument.
- Legal: Shooting during a Store/Bank Robbery, or defending against an active shooter.
- Consequence: Unjustified shooting in the city will trigger a massive Police response and potential Admin punishment for FailRP.
10.2 | Out-City Code Red (Loose) In the Out-City, the environment is hostile.
- High Alert: Code Red is authorized more freely due to the presence of heavy weaponry and gangs.
- Roleplay Requirement: Even in Out-City, you need a reason.
- Allowed: Gang vs Gang turf wars, drug deal interceptions, MP convoys under attack.
- Not Allowed: Camping on a hill and sniping random cars (this is RDM).
10.3 | The “15-Minute” Rule (Cooldown) After a major Code Red situation (Shootout) ends, the area is considered “Hot.” Players returning to the scene immediately to loot bodies or harass police will be punished for NLR (New Life Rule) or Loot Boxing.
SECTION 11: ILLEGAL ACTIVITIES
11.1 | Gang Turf Limits
- Gangs claim territories Out-City. LSPD does not patrol turfs; MP patrols turfs.
- “Spawn Camping” a gang’s house is forbidden. Give people time to load in.
11.2 | Robbing Legal Jobs You cannot rob players who are visibly doing legal grinding jobs (e.g., Garbage Collector, Trucker, Pizza Delivery) In-City.
- Exception: You CAN rob truckers/grinders Out-City on the highways, as they are taking the risk of leaving the safe zone.
